The Maison Universitaire France-Japon, in collaboration with the Japan Society for Promotion of Science (JSPS), is pleased to invite you to the conference of Dr. Koichi Kawamura, Senior Research Scientist Synthetic Organic Chemistry Laboratories, FUJIFILM Corporation, on the theme "INDUSTRIALIZED SOCIETY AND LIGHT / HOW IMPORTANT IS THE PHOTOCHEMISTRY IN OUR DAILY LIFE". March, 21st from 17h30 at the Maison Universitaire France-Japon, 42a Avenue de la Forêt Noire, Strasbourg. Résumé : Light is essential for the existence of the entire living organisms. However not only to receive it, human beings have utilized it in chemical reactions to result in a great progress in the industrial society. Over 30 years in Fujifilm, I have been engaged in developing new materials that are sensitive to the light, such as photoresists. In this lecture I would like to explain how photochemistry is important and is working in our daily life.
